MAGAZINES

1) List the three most important magazine cover conventions in your opinion and explain why for each one. 

The font. This is because the font is able to change the tone of the topic andit can be made easily recognisable from the font alone.

The slogan. This is because you are able to understand what the magazine will about, before you read it.

The cover model. This can be crucial as people can be attracted to the magazine i they recognise a celebrity they like.

2) Identify as many of the magazine cover conventions as you can and write a list of where they appear on this cover of Closer. As an extension, you could also write about the preferred reading for the convention - what the magazine is trying to communicate to the audience.

Sub headings, saying the topics whixh will be discussed within the magazine.

The preffered reading is that havng a baby is modern and cool in a way. This is seen as at the top it says the UK's first DAD. Lower down it says posh BABY hock, and underneath that its a MOTHERS day special. The entire theme is around children.
