Assesment Learner response

) Type up your feedback in full - WWW & EBI. You do not have to write your mark and grade if you don't want to.

A fair attempt at anaylsing the unseen advert and the Galaxy TV advert.

Work on timing or revise Tatler CSP again focusing on historical, social and cultural conetxts.

2) Look at Question 3 in the assessment - the media analysis of the Under Armour advert.

Use CLAMPS to revise mise-en-scene and write about each element of CLAMPS for the Under Armour advert. E.g.:

C - Costume: The player is wearing red and black rugby kit which has connotations of... aggression and power.

L - Lighting: The stadium floodlights tell the audience...That he is playing in a stadium, and that he is the focus of the match.

A - Actor placement and movement: The rugby player is... pushing a large tyre. The player's face suggests...he is angry or he is putting a lot of effort into the action.

M - Make up: The player's face is shining under the lights which makes it look like...he is the star of the show as all the floodlights are 'following him'.

P - Props: The tyre is significant because...it shows the players power and strength

S - Setting: the stadium setting suggests to the audience...

The mark scheme will also help with identifying additional points you could have made in Q3.

3) Look at Question 4. What is Todorov's theory of equilibrium? How does it link to the Audrey Hepburn Galaxy advert?

It links asd the equilibrium is normality as it is.
The the fruit stall falls so there's a disequilibrium.
Then theres an equilibrium as the chauffeur gives Audrey Hepburn a ride.

4) What social class is Reveal aimed at? (Extension - what do the cover lines on Reveal suggest about what working class people are interested in?)
Its aimed at the working class and there's the price(99p) on the front, and its in a big yellow circle resembling a pound coin.

5) Pick three cover lines from Tatler that reflect upper class British culture and society. Explain what they suggest about the lifestyle and beliefs of upper class British people.

The New Posh shows that 'posh people' are evolving from the classic stereotype.
Meet Georgina Beverns , she is a famous model, which shows posh people only know the 'elite'
Most Invited shows the elitists of the country.
